JOIN THE WAITLIST

Joining the priority list means you will be among the first to hear when the doors open on 1st August.

This community will give you a place where you belong and are understood, to continue doing the work alongside me, and to stay connected to others who understand it from the inside, so you don't have to feel alone.

How might it benefit me?

  • Feel less alone in patterns that can otherwise be difficult to explain to anyone outside this work.

  • Stay connected to people who genuinely understand the impact of boarding school.

  • Bring real life situations as they arise, rather than sitting with them alone for months.

  • Ask questions, share reflections, or simply listen when that is what you need.

  • Continue deepening your understanding without committing to another programme.

  • Revisit the course material at different stages of your life and find it landing in new ways.
  • Be honest without having to explain yourself from the beginning every time.
  • Have the opportunity to make real lasting authentic friendships and connect in person.
  • This is not about endlessly revisiting the past. It is about continuing to move forward with greater awareness, connection and choice.
  • Belong to a community which may have always felt out of reach.

"This course is just what I needed. I needed to understand how my schooling had impacted me. Part of healing is about sharing what happened to you. Part of healing is about being witnessed. Part of it is about knowing you weren’t the only one to feel like you do. We are a growing community of survivors, and it is both enlightening and empowering to do this course. It is what every graduate of any boarding school should have access to now, so they don’t waste any part of the next few decades blaming themselves! So glad I got here! Thank you so much Amelia for braving all this territory before hand and making it knowable, approachable and actionable! I can’t thank you enough!"

“This course has profoundly changed the way I see myself and my boarding school experience. It has brought into focus the fact that every aspect of my life has been affected by the separation from my family at age 11. The detailed exploration that each module facilitates means that I’ve come away with an overwhelming sense of compassion for myself and for others who have had a similar experience. Amelia and Veda expertly held the group through what could be very painful explorations of our experiences, and I couldn’t recommend them more.”

"I just wanted to share… something I don’t tend to do… but I wanted to put something on here to say thank you to you Amelia. So, after being triggered by dropping off my daughter to Uni three years ago, having spent most of my life not giving too much thought about BS (sort of!) … but clearly it was still there in my mind….I started asking my bro about his experience of BS and then we started talking… to shorten this part of the story he found out about Amelia’s course. So we were lucky to be able to do the course together. It was truly insightful and I want to say thanks Amelia”.

"Thank you so much Amelia. You’ve been awesome. I loved meeting everyone on the course. Thank you everyone for being so open and honest. It has really helped more than I can say."

About Amelia

Amelia is an experienced Therapist and Tutor who has worked for many charities and organisations over the past 15 years including the NHS and Brighton University. She has specialist psychotherapy training with ex-boarders, which she undertook with Nick Duffel. She provides individual therapy, courses and workshops for ex-boarders and Therapists.

As an ex-boarder herself, she is passionate about enabling others to see beyond the “privilege" and recognise some of the impact that having early attachments broken can have on young children. She supports ex-boarders in developing their own awareness of how their schooling may have shaped them. By telling their stories, expressing their feelings and releasing any shame, they start to learn to trust themselves and others so they can step fully into healthy relationships and ways of being.

Outside of work, you’ll find her at the waters edge. in her hometown of Brighton, as she is a passionate sea swimmer. However, she prioritised parenting her three daughters and has relished seeing them grow up in a city they call home.
